The Virtual Reality component in the form of a 17. LCD monitor that is attached to the bike directly in front of the patients sight line makes for an addictive and engaging workout unlike any other cardio product. Patients will literally .get into their workout instead of checking the console for how many more minutes they have left. They will have the ability to ride along side a friend or friends and create that additional motivation in the form of a community. Of course, if their competitive instincts take over, they can race their friends instead!

• The Web-based software affords the rider many motivating features. A rider can hop on the bike and select from one of 29 courses and four Silver member courses (new courses are being developed by our software engineers on a daily basis) and begin their trek as they would on their outdoor ride. The handle bars turn and the gear-shifter shifts so riders can change the resistance and pass other riders on the course, if desired. The courses are GPS generated, so, if a course has a ¼ mile grade of 5%, the rider will encounter that and shift accordingly.

 Clinicians have the ability to dynamically set a Pacer to guide them at whatever pace you desire on that particular day or course. Heart Rate, watts, course topography, elapsed time, distance, average watts, and real time position on the course are constantly displayed. Perhaps even more motivating is the ability for a rider to ride against their own previous bouts performance or the best time they’ve ridden on a particular course, in the form of a Ghost rider. The Web-based software also enables a rider to personalize their ride. By logging onto expresso.net they can view their previous 30-day riding history, measure their progress, and see where they stand on the facility-specific and global Leader Boards.

A virtually unlimited number of patients information can be stored, and utililized to document progression or regression.
