When appied to spors surfaces, the SurfaceAide system provides a durable, positively charged molecular bond the SurfaceAide will not wear off or be absorbed by other organisms.

One SurfaceAide application imparts a colorless, odorless layer of active antimicrobial onto sports equipment and facilitates that remains active 24/7 for years to come. This round-the-the-clock coverage makes SurfaceAide unlike any other disinfectant on the market. But, because people frequently try to compare the two....the following comparison demonstrates why SurfaceAide is a superior product and in a category of its own.

Understanding Leaching

Understanding Microbial Adaptability
Figure 1
demonstrates how microbes adapt to Conventional antimicrobials . This figure shows three sets of fabric samples that have been exposed to a bacterial environment under lab conditions.

After a few hours of bacterial exposure, the control with untreated samples is infected with bacteria. The two left samples treated with the Aegis Microbe shield technology show complete antimicrobial complete antimicrobial protection , no signs of leaching, and no Zone of inhibition.

Understanding Microbial Adaptability
The two right samples were treated with a conventional antimicrobial. These antimicrobials have migrated off the surface creating a “Zone of inhibitions”. shown in figure 2. Because the concentration of antimicrobials is significantly reduced in the “Zone of inhibitions” microbes are able to build resistance to the antimicrobial, eventually becoming adaptive to it. These adaptive microbes are known as “Super Bugs” .
TurfAides active ingredient is based on AEGIS microbe shield technology , the most effective antimicrobial in the market
